Pixelfix serves over 65 clients in the New York Metro Area, specializing in creative, media, and the arts. The company was founded in March 2006 and grew out of the private practices of the principals, which date back to 2001. Our office is located in Soho on Lafayette and Broome Streets.
We believe that there is a significant lack of coherent planning and service for small/medium and creatively focused businesses — Pixelfix’s mission is integrate networking, hardware, software and workflow planning. Because of our clients’ relative size and budgets, we also strive to re-use and conserve as many existing assets as possible.
Most importantly, we believe that the mission of our clients requires confidence and facility with their tools. Pixelfix works to expedite ideas, tear out repetitive processes and give our clients a more malleable and humane way to work each day.
Ben began as an advertising copywriter, but soon discovered he preferred the company of computers to sloganeering. He began a private tech/design consulting practice in 2002.
He met Lawrence Andaya while volunteering at the Jazz Foundation of America where he served on the Board of Directors for three years. In his spare time, he enjoys reading even more about computers, the Atlantic Monthly and plunking around on old guitars.
Ben has a B.A. in English from Dartmouth College.
Lawrence took apart his first computer at the age of 12 and never looked back. He co-founded Pixelfix after two years as a Lead Systems Analyst at Bank of America.
In addition to his hardware expertise, Lawrence has a particular affinity for the care and feeding of render farms and exceptionally vexing software problems. In his spare time, Lawrence enjoys all things automotive, spending time with his 56first cousins and XBox.
Lawrence has a B.B.A. in Finance from Baruch College.
Trub's experience with computers goes back to 3 months old, when he chewed his first (but certainly not last) ethernet cable.
Trub's duties at Pixelfix include sales, new business cultivation and chasing the laser pointer when everyone needs a break.
Trub is a 2009 graduate of the Empire of the Dog Basic Obedience / Puppy Kindergarten program.
